Display Keystrokes onscreen for Mac for screencasting

TL:DR — use Keycastr to display keystrokes onscreen

I like making small screencast gifs to help illustrate things I talk about here. Sometimes its useful to show the keys being pressed especially in vim.

Keycastr is my preferred tool as it displays what you type on the screen as you can see below!

If you have Homebrew installed

brew cask install keycastr

Otherwise you can follow the instructions on their github
